Dronometry is a professional UAV survey operation and publishing platform based in East Bank Demerara, Guyana. Every review, workflow guide, and business resource published here comes from active commercial work in mining, oil and gas, and construction — sectors where the accuracy of survey data has direct financial and operational consequences.
This is not a hobbyist blog. The equipment reviewed here costs more than most cars. Our operations today
Dronometry operates the DJI Matrice 4E as its primary survey platform, paired with the DJI RTK 3 base station on a permanent-mark RTK/PPK dual-method workflow. Survey data is processed in Agisoft Metashape Professional and DJI Terra depending on client turnaround requirements.
Active operations cover the Guyana coastal belt and interior, including remote alluvial mining sites accessible only by charter aircraft or river transport. Deliverables include certified DEMs, orthomosaics, volumetric reports, cut/fill heat maps, design-vs-actual comparisons, and LAS point clouds. Every Professional and Programme tier deliverable includes a formal accuracy certificate with independently measured checkpoint residuals.
Current clients include earthworks contractors, open-pit mining operations, and O&G infrastructure operators across Guyana and the Eastern Caribbean. Programme contracts — recurring weekly or monthly survey engagements — form the core of the revenue model because they deliver the greatest value to clients and the most sustainable income structure for the operation.

Where this is going
The near-term goal is two to three active programme contracts running concurrently — one mining operation, one construction site, and one O&G engagement — generating a stable recurring base from which to invest in expanded capability.
The medium-term plan includes LiDAR capability for dense-canopy interior operations where photogrammetry reaches its limits, DroneDeploy cloud hosting for clients who want self-service data access, and a formal accuracy certification that can be presented to international auditors on resource projects.
The longer-term vision is a regional operation covering Guyana, Trinidad and Tobago, Suriname, and the Eastern Caribbean — serving the resource and infrastructure sectors that are driving significant capital investment across the region, with a professional standard that matches international survey expectations and a cost structure that reflects the value delivered.
Dronometry — the publishing side — runs alongside the survey operation. It is not a replacement for survey revenue.
